Mel Beemer

Mel has been painting for over 20 years and a member of the Prairie Artists Guild since 2015.  He was born in Iron Bridge, Ontario and joined the navy at the age of 18.  After moving to Regina, Mel completed several art classes at the University of Regina’s Centre for Continuing Education.  His primary interest is painting outdoor scenes and landscapes with acrylic.  He has experimented with coloured pencil and charcoal and is interested in learning more about watercolour.
