Although I am a second career emerging artist, I have been drawing and painting ever since I could remember. One of my earliest memories is secretly creating a mural with Mum’s luscious red lipstick. Attracted to bright colours, I often say that my favourite colour is “rainbow.” Born and raised in Saskatchewan, I have lived all over North America and travel overseas frequently. A frequent visitor to Northern Saskatchewan, I spend much time exploring the beauty of the Boreal Forest and Canadian Shield. I love hiking a trail, setting up my plein air kit and painting in nature. When not making art, I work as a civil engineer.
My training has been both formal and experiential, ranging from university courses, workshops, and intensives. I work primarily in oils and dabble in mixed media. A lifelong learner, I continue to delve into new materials and subject matter.
