Margaret is a Regina artist who grew up on a farm near Pleasantdale, Saskatchewan. Although she has resided in all three Prairie Provinces, Saskatchewan has shaped the essence of who she is. Margaret is a child of the prairies, a woman of the wind. The unique beauty of the vast prairie skies, the diversity of landscapes and the magnificence of changing seasons are ingrained in her soul.
Margaret enjoyed a varied and rewarding career in education. In her retirement, she has turned her attention to capturing nature’s artistry in watercolour and acrylic paintings. Margaret continually seeks learning environments embracing creativity. She has participated in numerous workshops conducted by accomplished Canadian artists.
Margaret enjoys her involvement with the arts community in Saskatchewan. She is a member of the Prairie Artists Guild Inc. and the Art Gallery of Regina. Her seasonal gallery, Prairie Fire Studio, is located at the Artist’s Colony situated along the shores of Kenosee Lake in Moose Mountain Provincial Park. Her paintings are found in both private and corporate collections.
