Linda was born in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1955. She predominantly paints in oils, but also uses pastels, acrylics and charcoal. In 2006, she began taking painting and drawing classes at the Neil Balkwill Centre in Regina. She attended drawing classes at Emma Lake Kenderdine Campus (U of Saskatchewan) in 2009 and 2010. Linda became so passionate about painting that she retired from health care office work and enrolled in the Certificate in Advanced Studio Art program at the University of Regina in 2012, graduating with Great Distinction in 2016. She joined the Prairie Artist Guild in Regina and has shown and sold work through many shows. As well, she has shown and sold work at group exhibitions and fundraisers in the Fifth Parallel Gallery, University of Regina (Flat Art, Stand Clear of the Closing Doors Please, Art Auction) and the Art Gallery of Regina Annual Salon Show. Her work has been voted on and selected by Prairie Artist Guild members for advertising material and promotion of shows. In addition, Linda, along with Barbara Goretzky and Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home, received two Saskatchewan Arts Board Artists in Communities grants — Micro-Grant, used to develop an art program for the residents of Santa Maria and then the Projects Program Grant to invite the residents to actively participate in art work. Linda has produced a series of contemporary still lifes and vignettes of everyday environments (kitchen, dining room, home office) that conjure scenes of warm family life and welcoming personal space. She is an active member of the Art Gallery of Regina, CARFAC, and Prairie Artists Guild. Linda lives and paints in Regina.
