Jane’s enjoyment of creative expression began to flourish in elementary school when her artworks won at local juried art competitions. However, she chose to pursue a career in nursing, working as a registered nurse in the ICU/CCU at Weyburn General Hospital. Jane continued to paint, attending many workshops by notable Saskatchewan artists. She explored working with different media, acrylics being her favorite. Her surroundings and things that were important to her always influenced her art. Initially, her artwork focused on wildlife and prairie landscapes. In 2010, Jane retired from nursing and moved to Regina. Her

artworks began to capture the excitement and atmosphere of the city, especially in night-time scenes. In 2014 she attended a workshop that opened up the world of abstract art to her.

Jane’s work has been displayed in juried art shows including the Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Councils, Art Saskatchewan (MacKenzie Art Gallery), the Saskatchewan National History Society and the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation. Two of her works have been published in the book, Words on the Wing.  The private international collection of Luciano Benetton, "Imago Mundi", includes one of her paintings. She is a member of the Prairie Artists Guild, the Art Gallery of Regina and is listed in Saskatchewan Network of Art Collecting.
